State UnivD046617 DISCUSSION I.  Standard of Review             "On appeal after a motion for summary judgment has been granted, we review the record de novo, considering all the evidence set forth in the moving and opposition papers except that to which objections have been made and sustained."  (Guz v. Bechtel National, Inc. (2000) 24 Cal.4th 317, 334.)  This court applies the same analysis as the trial court.  We identify the issues framed by the pleadings, determine whether the moving party has negated the nonmoving party's claims, and determine whether the opposition has demonstrated the existence of a triable issue of material fact.  Summary judgment is appropriate if all the papers submitted show there is no triable issue of fact and that the moving party is entitled to judgment as a matter of law.  (Code of Civ.
